1916-17 Was there a vessel "Kursk or Kirsk" (perhaps a tug) in the convoys to Russia? Any record of a Captain Kirschfelt, a Russian? Voyages?
1914-18 War service. Merchant Marine Medal, WW1 War Service Medal. Were there any other medals awarded?

Re: Family History
I believe that the Polonia was my fathers first ship as a radio officer. probably around 1936-1939. Anybody know how I can verify this? Crew list for example. He latter joined the MV Batory also as radio officer. I have a crew list with his name (Zygmunt Piotrowski) on Batory arrival at New York 1939.

Re: Family History
Could you help with some further information ? Date of birth, where born, death etc. Any numbers on official documents would be helpful, esp his sea service record / discharge book number. Did he have any links with Dawley, Shropshire ? Sorry, just home, long day. Will look in again later and try to help more. Any info will help. K

Re: Family History
Hello Marco how long did your father serve on the Batory, the reason I ask is the fact that my brother sailed on her maybe around 1942.It was a Polish ship but British crew did sail on her.
Regards.
