Assisted Dying.

The way the Bill is currently drafted, the law is on applicable to those who have less than six months to live, an application has to be made by the terminally ill patient, most of whom I suspect will be in no fit condition to do so, once the application is completed it has to be submitted for psychriatic evaluation, then signed off by two doctors, how many months will that take, then one of the doctors has to prepare a solution for the patient to self administer and has to be present, will he/she charge an attendance fee, it will not come into force until 2029 a lot of water will pass under the bridge before then, and it has yet to be presented to the House of Lords for ratification, most of them are nearer to Gods open arms than we are, (we are pushing the boundaries) I don't see it getting through at the first reading

I think the death penalty was still on the statute books within the past 50 to 60 years for mutiny Johnny, until someone noticed it and it was cancelled. It was either mutiny or Piracy I believe. JS

When you look at all the people involved in each case, you won't need a pencil to work out how much it's all going to cost in time and money. I can just imagine phoning for a Drs appointment.
Reception. "Are you needing to die"?
Patient. "Well no, not at the moment, it's about my bad neck".
Reception. "Sorry, doctors are too busy, call back when you need to die and we'll try to fit you in, but there is a six month waiting list to get seen".

Reminds me of the badly injured patient in an Australian hospital who asked the nurse 'did I come here to die' and she replied 'naw mate you came in yesterdie'

According to those interviewed it will be passed by the lords without a blink. Mind you the 26 Bishops will no doubt vote against.

Concerning the return of the death penalty here in the UK , to many bent coppers and corruption is rife, certainly would appear so in the Met.

Crime here in Sydney is rife people being shot at on a daily basis including bystanders, makes me wonder if a few coppers are involved like the old days when they had to set Coppers to catch Coppers, one of the worst coppers was a former top detective caught in the end for shooting a Chinese Drug dealer for his stash of drugs.
Lebanese run the gangs in Sydney now shooting each other on the streets, immigrants we could have done without.
