    Default Antartic

Over the past years we have been bombarded with news about global warming and the shrinking of the Antartic
    Ice caps etc.
NASA announced that a recent satellite image shows that the western side of region is showing considerable ice growth. Scientist are at a loss to explain why this has happened.

Vic I think in general all life on earth and the continuation of life forms commenced and carried on as a result of the Sun which is a star if but a smaller one in our Universe even though it is 240 times bigger than the earth. All past life and any future that the earth has is going to be the state of the Sun and its effect on our climatic conditions . The origin of the earth is believed by many to be a particle of our sun which broke away. What the scientists do have is believable proof of this , the sun the same as any heavenly body at some point in time will wane, and during that waning will also effect other planetary systems, any change of the likes of thermal heat or distance from the earth will have effects on others such as our own planet , I believe that humans will never be able to change the inevitable. My motto is enjoy life whilst it’s there to enjoy and what may happen in the far distant future is not ours to mess with. JS

We only have to think back to history lessons at school to realise that change is occurring all the time, albeit more time than we experience. Ice age, stone age, every other age, including old age. No doubt there's another age looming in the very near future, so we won't hold our breath. We're only here for the blink of an eye when it comes to time.

I read that a number of well known scientists are saying the whole concept of climate change and global warming has been well over done.
Thye blame most of this on three factors,
The media, who would have guessed that.
Governments not sure where they are going on this one, nothing new there for any gov.
Developers making a fortune at our cost.!!!!

I see Greta is now looking to take aim at the situation in middle East.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

I would of thought the upgrading of the clean air acts would have been sufficient to draw people’s attention for people
with breathing problems..instead the world got a leader of the rat pack an unsuccessful! Candidate for President of the USA.
He more than likely was not happy on,losing but wanted the publicity, for a future change of luck and not forgotten. JS

We get what we ask for in this world.
I don't think the human population has ever been so great. Mother earth used to have ways of controlling populations, usually by diseases and disasters, it was called nature. We humans have become clever enough to combat nature, but will, in time, regret kicking natures ****.
When I was a kid, we had a population of about 40 million in the UK, now we have about 70 million that we know about. There are probably a few million we don't have in record.
All our green belt areas are being built on to accommodate these extra millions, so, in time, something has to give. Covid was probably a good attempt, but failed, just like all the other self righting methods nature has for us.
Maybe the next one will be an atomic one? after all, nature gives us the brains to work these things out, doesn't it?
