Default How to make a mountain out of a mole hill

The Labour Party jump on any minor transgression of a Tory MP and try to exploit it for what's worth.
Latest outcry from the self righteous indignant hypocrites is Sue Braver man's admission of speeding. She sought advice from the Civil Service on how to get a one to one speed awareness course, not us was the chant.
Labour claims this could be a breach of ministerial code (how they wish).
Lawyer Nick Freeman also known as Mr Loophole said:"she hasn't done anything wrong. I've arranged private courses for high profile clients. In fact the corse providers prefer a one to one as it as less productive".

Of course this the old socialist adage policy of deflecting the spotlight from their own failures to produce credible policies.

I don't know much about Brit politics, and I don't really care which side is in or out, but how can the Govt pour Billions into the Ukraine while their Medicare system is going down the toilet, it could end up with more Brits dying than Ukranian's.

Des, while to some extent I agree with you it is more than that.
If Putin wins there will be a far bigger war to follow.

Des mate I think I can answer that question mate. Just like the good old USofA the profit is not so much in warfare where the billions are made but getting the contracts for rebuilding everything after. Yes make huge profits with ordinance but nothing like that can be made after with construction. Hence why there has never been peace in the world as the economy would collapse without it.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

#2, another non story or is it? Rachel Reeves Labour Shadow Chancellor flying to the USA in a business class seat which costs about £4k.
Obviously she was embarrassed and deleted the photo from her twitter account.

£8000 return is a lot cheaper than £10,000 an hour. I am sure you read the article £400,000 to the tax payer. One would assume she it was business meetings from the set go. Yes exactly the same not doubt for the foreign secretary. What ever happened to the plane that Boris had the Plane ordered the fancy paint job on?

The £900,000 cost of Mr Johnson’s red, white and blue paint job for the larger RAF Voyager was confirmed last summer by the prime minister’s official spokesman, who said the repainting would allow the plane to “better represent the UK around the world with national branding.
Was this not good enough for the Foreign Secretary to use!! or was it just for the them PM Boris own personal use???

Used to fly business class when joining a Ships in transit passing Singapore as once onboard it was straight to work as it was a gangway hand over. This privilege was for senior officers then some office bean counter decided to send us economy class. I did not care as they then realised it was a requirement as per contract to have 2 days rest before joining the ship. Loved Singapore watching those pretty little Asian girls wiggling their backsides as they walked down Orchard road.
They would sometimes put us in the Cockpit Hotel, well named.

No idea what you are on about.
I was posting about S. Bravermans speeding offence and how the left and a few Tories have got their nickers in a twist over a non event.
I also referenced Rachel Reeves £4k flight (some quote £8k) to the US asking if a fuss would be made about that event.

Probably got something to do with the point that Cleverly's luxury jollies are being paid for by the taxpayer whereas Reeves is not?
