Just Stop Oil
Over the past year or so various parts of the UK have been paralised by Just Stop Oil.
One of the main backers of the protest organisation is Dale Vince founder of Ecotricity. Ecotricity is the UK largest supplier of Green Electricity.
Vince has also supplied the UK Labour Party with funds of £1.4m over past couple of years. He has also given Sir Keir Starmer £20K for his office. Deputy leader of the Labour Party Angela Rayner has also received £10.k.

Re: Just Stop Oil
One of those stop anything groups stopped a parade of vehicles.
What they did not know was that the majority were EV .
I am convinced that all of these groups have something to gain from all of this.
The Greens here in Oz are putting up some of the most ridiculous proposals, such as allowing pregnant women to take Heroin in a safe injecting room.
But the younger generation are taking not and more are voting for them.
The benefit to the Greens, more seats in parliament so in time may well have enough to form gov.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Just Stop Oil
#1 Vic, why would Dale Vince not make a donation to the Labour party ? He has also made a donations to the Green party.
He is in favour of renewable energy and green energy.
Perhaps he has more faith in the Labour party to do more to deliver a greener eco electricity programme than the Tories.
Starmer has come out and condemed the action of Just Stop Oil.
I have a post about a book I read called CHUMS by Simon Kuber read it , it is available in librairies.

James, Starmer has said many things, and on many occasions has then done the opposite.

James your having a larf, I say your having a larf.
Biggest lie is surely Labour favourite saying, "it's fully costed". Course that's when you go to the Dianne Abbott school of economics. Lol

Re: Just Stop Oil
Personally Vic wouldn't waste my time as the author's narrative is No to Brexit, No to Tory Mp's who were educated at Oxford etc etc and that's just for starters. The reviews obviously give you a synopsis and there's one in particular from a rabid SNP supporter which gives the flavour of the audience the author of this book attracts. One in particular calls himself 'Dark Habit' waxing lyrical about wee Burney and all she stands/stood for, worth reading for the laughs alone. No need to take my word - link below provides all....Enjoy
