I will make another attempt to explain to Marian. Gay men at sea usually had a great sense of humour and there was constant banter, it was impossible to beat them because they were so quick witted it always ended in laughter.

They too would be laughing at a fat man with his mini skirt tucked up around his waist fleeing along the road trying not to fall off his stilettos.

The aforegoing Replies is the reason that i steer clear of these Political posts!

I guess though that it is somewhat of a Subject liked by many, God knows why!

Anyway just keep it clean and no agro at others please!
So far so good as i see it!

    Thank You

Love this forum when there is a lull in the old stories of life at sea which bring back loads of memories and the excellant reasearching goes quiet there is always the chance of a political catfight to keep the forum interesting.

I ,like my working class father and grandfather before me have never understood what makes mainly youngish ,apparently quite well educated people-and there are more women than men it has to be said-become Labour party supporters,MP's,journalists or activists, and then espouse what can only be called a 'champagne socialist' fiercely hostile attitude to right wing supporters, who these days are in any case mainly as working class as themselves, just look at the Red Wall. The days of perceived Tory elitism and privelege is no longer a hallmark of the Tories, whilst many Left wing supporters pay lip-service to their champagne-lifestyle leaders... I think,if it wasn't for the support of the trade unions and the red-top scandal-mongering ,communist inspired rag sheets ,the British Labour Party would be as dead as a Dodo....
Brought to mind the socialist ante royalist steer calmer .....sitting in the royal box at wimbledon smiling like a cheshire cat ......why does he always look as if he needs a good shite ....even as he smiles the grimace shows on his face .....perhas he has realised he will be joining corbyn in the not to distant future R683532

As a non resident English man, are there not any white politicians left in the Tory party?? As you sow, so shall you reap. This the result of the bleeding heart country gentlemen kind to the serfs.

I always find it hard tio understand the term working class......is a doctor working class ......is a policeman working class...can a golfer be working class ....is a milkman delivering milk working class but the farmer who is up at 4am milking his cows not working class working class....i have always tried to work out what working class is .....the only theory that i can come to is .....as living standards.... regardless of the present economic situation..... is that working class of years ago are now the permanent WORKLESS CLASS .....who seem to be constantly claiming they have not enough food there house is falling down they have no heat....there children are starving.....but somehow are all NOT working or whatever.... is a train driver on 39000 grand a year or a postman or a bin man or a waiter or a chef or any one who goes to work working class .....glad im retired and not WORKING CLASS.....MUST STATE THIS WHICH SOME MAY NOT LIKE BUT THE EASIEST JOB I EVER HAD WAS 12 TO 4 WATCH ON A TRUE BANGER OF AN OLD TRAMPSHIP .......if that was working class as a single man BRING IT ON .......R683532
