Yes still have mine and another since.
Took it for my vaccinations for virus, nurse was a bit surprised when I showed it to her and asked for it to be completed.

Nothing wrong with such, that way I have a record of all the pricks I have had.

Cholera every six months, VD every week in Cape Town.

We were boosted on Monday at the local pharmacy.

Here on the big island the state govs have closed all the vaccination hubs saying they are not needed now.

But the GP and Pharmacy say we need them if we are to get all with a booster.
Currently 5 months many want it brought down to 4.

But it appears masks now will be mandated all over with WA mandadting it for all essential workers.

But as my GP told me, WA is in for one heck of a shock when they do open the borders in Feb, the Virus will come to visit them.

For someone who sailed with UCL, that's one hell of a statement!

Yes Ivan, pricks here, pricks there.
But it was very different then.
No individual needles, all the serum from one bottle, same needle for all.
Good if you were at the front of the queue, but last with the blunt needle!!!!!!!!!!

    Post Re: Bad news tonight

Well, here's my last political post of 2021 !

I'm not an'ipsedixtrist'-I know,-you've forgotten that nice word you only just learned recently, haven't you? ,-but.......

Here's a letter I just read today in an 'i' newspaper readers column, and it seems to agree with my own thoughts concerning our Foreign Sec,one Miss Truss.
I wrote the following in our thread, so I will quote myself:-

    from my post #8

QUOTE "So....Who is this recently appointed Foreign Sec?....None other than.Liz Truss. In my book,I have never trusted Ms.Truss-there's a pun about mistrust somewhere in there,I think.

She was born into a strongly pro-Labour household, then turned Liberal Democrat when in parliament, then turned again to Conservative... Now Foreign Sec,she is tipped as a future candidate for the leadership. My suspicious thoughts here of 'undermine' the Tory government by infiltrating from the top' ?.....
But for we Brexiteers ,the dismaying thing about her new post is the fact that she is a self-declared Remainer (just like a certain Theresa May was, though in her case it was more than it was worth to declare it,although her subsequent ineffectual bungling and farting about (in those ghastly leopard skin shoes dahlings-and running through cornfields, remember? !) in the Brexit process, made it abundantly clear to us where her true feelings lay,and still do, Theresa May has at last 'grown a pair' ,though too late now,and can now snipe in mask and fancy shoes at her successor from the comparative safety of the back benches.

So anyway ,we have 'mistrust 'once again. So selfish of Frostie the Go-Man to resign, particularly now I suppose, when we are in the midst of the UK-NI-EU negotiations.

Oh,at times one does despair of British politicians.

[All opinions expressed in this post are my own and should not be misconstrued , quoted, misquoted or otherwise taken out of context or held against me.] " QUOTE

And here is one who agrees with me in that article today:
'Tories better beware ! . Re Liz Truss- the proposed new leader of the Tory party : The Tories are moving in Liz Truss's political direction. Is that good news for the UK?
She, a leader of "smaller-state rightwingers and assertive Brexiteers" taking over from Boris Johnson would do nicely,as Labour should be able to exploit her lack of principles (remember she was a staunch Remainer) and her aversion to economic interventions quite easily'.....

I hope I won't be soon saying I told you so. So,Hang on in there BoJo ! And fellow Tories, stop being 'woke' and precious ,and support your leader!

Like your thoughts Graham, hope you are wrong, but of course there is still the man who moves on his stomach when it comes to the new leader, of course i mean Mr Gove, he seems to be keeping his powder dry at the moment. it is a worrying time to replace Boris, but Happy New Year anyway, kt

Little Micky Gove used to live with Sarah Vine who writes for a newspaper.
She had to get rid of him because he kept jumping on the furniture and peeing on the carpets.

Louis, provide proof of your statement made in the last sentence of your post, or are being provocative as per usual?

I was born in May 52,and of course if you had asked me I would in all probability have said--- "Gaga, doo doo dumdum burp!"
I was still 'inside' when George VI died in Feb.52,and have often wondered if I was a reincarnation of him three months later...daft really isn't it because I have never had a speech impediment. But,it does mean that I have only ever known one monarch in my lifetime, our dear Liz 2 (aka Brenda),whereas my grandma b.1900 would have known 6 of them. I think the best of them would have been Ted 7 (Edward VII,1901-1910)because he seemed to be a lot of fun' if you please...

As I write this it is one hour till we will hear Big Ben chime again on New Year's Eve to herald the New Year, after 4 years of renovation, although it will chime with a temporary mechanism initially. Boing! Boing ! Boing ! etc....No fireworks this year due to pandemic, although I probably think this Labourite London Mayor,Sadiq Khan is trying to save some badly needed money. Some people here have noticed he didn't actually ban Diwali firework celebrations. Crazy world isn't it? Happy New Year !
