Where are the clowns?

Once again we stop the roaring sound of London traffic to see who is in town tonight.

Of course it is once again the media taking front and center.

Depending on how far left any form of media is will determine the how addled the story will be.

But with the majority the gov has I do not see any worries for them just now.

AS to the comments about public servants, having spent time working many years ago in Somerset House when it was tax head quarters I would say that is exactly what occured.

As to the refurbishment of number 10, surely he is only there as PM and would have little or no say in refurbishments.
Bloody public servants again.

British Politics have lost me, I can these days see little difference in the Parties. I have no family left there to defend or promote. I can only hope that the Country stays safe from Covid, and prospers, whomever is in charge.

Good post Des, people more important than politics. Covid has caused the death of approximately 150,000 and the numbers continue to rise. This is why we need truth from those who lead.

According to a relative in UK in a senior position in the Middlesex Hospital in London the figures are incorrect.
It has been proven that any on e who died in hospital was classified as having died with the Virus, however it has been shown up to 35% died from other natural causes.
It was easier for the hospitals to put it down as the Virus as they were under so much strain.

When employed at the Uni there was a course for ' Political Science'

The head lecturer was also a bit of a trick cyclist and he told his students this.

'When the party you favor is in opposition nothing the gov does will be correct in your opinion, but when your party is in office you will find all manner of ways to say all they do is correct, even though some may not be'.


So though we may have a go at Louis or Des for their choice of party that is their right and I will defend them to say so, even if I do not agree with them.
It is known in the West as Democracy, something many countries do not have.

I believe the Covid death toll is far greater than official figures show. The recorded figures are people who have died 28 days after of a positive test. In the early days of the epidemic the testing process was not yet in place.

Probably all equals out in the end, counterbalanced by those people who didn't die of covid, but covid was shown on their death certificates. We may (in all probability) never know, though conspiracy theories will abound, and hindsight experts will multiply.

My Auntie died this year, 101 years old, she was in a very poor health, and in fact she was dying, no getting away from that fact, she went to hospital for the last few days of her life, her death certificate stated Covid, she had tested clear in care for weeks, so maybe she caught it in hospital?, or maybe she just joined the covid figures for convenience ?, we will never know, but she lived a long life, and toward the end she had said she wanted to go.

It was easier to pronounce Covid as the cause of death during the pandemic, no investigations etc.

Just been announced USA had the highest death rate from the Virus last year.
Over 800,000 higher than India at the peak, still nlot going so well now and in the southern states were antivaxers are in large numbers the winter is anticipated to take a big toll.

Sad as it is, it may prevent a few school shootings.
