Former Crew Queen Mary
As he approaches his 87th year, I would love to put my father in law in touch with some former comrades from the stewards that sailed on the original QM. He has lots of stories and speaks very fondly (As all do, I know!) of the charcaters he worked with and his time on the QM.
His name is Daniel Kerr (the image of Ronnie Corbett!) from Co Donegal, Ireland. He sailed from 1952 until the final voyage, also did a couple of turns on the Franconia.
Anyone can help, it would be much appreciated!

Re: Former Crew Queen Mary
Andrew I knew a person who was bell boy on the Mary in I think 1948.I haven’t seen him for sometime now as used to know him through various meetings I went to. But believe he is still with us. His name is Davey Siggers. I wouldn’t know when he left the Mary but if the name strikes any bells with your father in law, will find out further info. For you. Regards JS.

Re: Former Crew Queen Mary
Why not take him on a trip to the QM in Long Beach, easy to get to, A shuttle bus takes you from LA airport to the gangway. A wonderful experience for him, so many memories, before it is too late.

As I've said before I live here and if I can I will help anyone with transport from LAX who wants to visit her. I just need a little notice - especially right now as injured. Just send me a private message.
