    Default MSC Seaside

Watched a documentry on Netflex tonight about the MSC Seaside on a weeks cruise out of Miami. Took you below decks and the working routines of how large cruise ships operate. A horrible looking thing but has to be said what a piece of engineering.
Well worth a wacth. Never sailed on cruise ships or passenger ships. Watching that programme though the operation and team effort involved getting upto 6000 pasengers off the ship and getting 6000 new punters on in a matter of hours. I am sure it never runs that smoothly all the time. The crew certainly earn there wages.

I did a cruise on "Seaside" out of Miami when she was almost new. It was a delightful experience from start to finish. Every aspect was perfect.

I did a cruise on MSC Armonia (spelling), the Ship was comfortable, food was good. Entertainment hit and miss.
All announcements were repeated about four times with English last.

A cruise ship will turn around in about 9 to 10 hours.
The logistics of getting blood off, restock the ship, remove all the rubbish and new bloods on is quite a task.
But the efficiency of the shipping companies and the shore side ones is amazing.
Having now done some 27 cruises it is still something to watch and wonder at.
To see about 4,000 pieces of luggage taken off in just over 1 hour and laid out in order in the landside departure area is still a wonder as to how they do it.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
