Re: The latest pigeon loft
I warched a TV programme many years ago about these super cruise ships.
The Hull is fitted with strain guages and is regularly monitored whilst in Port and loading supplies.
Unloading supplies is a detailed operation in order to minimise strain on the Hull.

Hi Colin.
The Barrier Reef was the loveliest waters I ever sailed through, and I did it a number of times, dream times.

Re: The latest pigeon loft
Looking at the many cruise companies out there one conclusion is come to.
There are some no better than Butlins on sea, all gimmicks and stuff for the kids.
Then there are some that specialize in going to see far away places, ports with a difference.
It is up to the person which kind they want.
For us ports of call are the most important, going to places we may not have otherwise gone to such as Iceland.
Then some such as NZ where there is always something else to discover.

Probably thinks the earth is flat as well. Every time I've seen a cruise passenger interviewed on TV they have always been poorly paid teachers who just love sitting on their balcony before dinner

James, several years ago a friend of mine was a tax inspector; he told me that the worst offenders for trying to fiddle their taxes was the clergy.
He also told me that if anyone who was in business and didn't fiddle their taxes would probably go bust.
And finally, the best business to be in was one that only dealt only in cash e.g. amusement arcades and one armed bandit operators.

Old joke, I went to my local church to see if anything had changed regarding the free will offering. Nope, still the same. As the preist blessed the collection plate he tossed the plate in the air and said to God here Lord take what you want!!
