Default MSC Virtuosa banned from berthing in Scotland

So now the SNP have really lost the plot. Cruise ship MSC Virtuosa has been told she cannot dock in Greenock.
    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/202...etting-cruise/

So I am Scottish and cannot get off the ship because we are not allowed to berth in Scotland. So I will just get off in her next port Belfast? and then get the P&O or Stena line ferry back to Cairnryan. Either MSC did not do their homework or the Scottish government.
To be honest the way this Delta variant is spreading cruising would be the last thing on my mind.

Just watching the TV guess what MSC advert just come on.

Cruise MSC Virtuosa sailing from Southampton, Liverpool & Greenock, that was just on at 1640 hours, certainly have their finger on the pulse.

I have also posted this in the Covid thread

It's wee Burney showing she is in charge.
Football zones set up in Glasgow to watch the Euro, what checks on supporters?
Steam train left Edinburgh for Manchester at the weekend full of passengers, no restrictions.
    Hypocrite she is.

Vic I would not be worrying about the football fan zones for the Euro's Scotland will be back home pretty soon , closely followed by Wales & England.
But I take your point seems to be playing a strange game herself. I think a U turn is about to be announced in England about the opening up fully as tge infection numbers are going up again at an alarming rate. All because yet again the late banning of travel to and from India.

    India certainly has caused problems.
Our latest outbreak is said to have come from just one person returning from there.
Until India is clear of the Virus there should be a global ban on any one leaving the country

John, it is easier to get into Oz than it is to get into India, take a look at the visa application form, umpteen pages long and lots of info required, the land of milk and honey it certainly is not.
It is not just the virus they import, lots of other diseases that were eradicated elsewhere years ago.

In India there are diseases not yet fully understood by the medicos.
There are thousands of Indian/Australians there.
Many asked for exemptions to go to see sick family members or for weddings.
They were allowed but because of the current situation only a few at a time are allowed back in and into quarantine for two weeks.
Big screams from them that they should be allowed back as they hold Australian nationality, India does not allow dual citizenship, but the gov says no and so do most of the people.
The Greens of course think differently and say they should all be allowed back, complete with virus no doubt.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
