Apparently, the ship is currently at sea off the NSW coast, south of Sydney.

Correct John, the WA premier would not allow any one off and rightly so.
Once in Dubai a decision will be made about those on board.
Dubai at present has very tough regulations in place regarding the virus.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Still no explanation from our premier as to who is to blame for allowing the ship in. Just think that all the rhetoric that the Libs have been spouting about stopping the boats and now they have let one of the biggest ones in to Sydney to disembark contaminated passengers into the country pushing the number of infected people up into the thousand. Some one should be held accountable for this bloody fiasco for sure.
That's the way the mop flops.

It is hardly the first cruise ship to see infections - the Diamond Princess, also operated by Princess Cruises, drew global focus in February. Its passengers were quarantined for almost a month off the coast of Japan before being repatriated. More than 600 cases were linked to the ship.

Governments at Australia's state and federal level have pointed blame at each other. Princess Cruises has said it followed official guidelines.

Passengers on board apparently weren't told that an ambulance took a passenger to hospital. passengers weren't screened and were unmonitored when they left the ship. About a third were international passengers - they were told they could travel overseas immediately or self-isolate in Sydney for a fortnight.

#16... Australia will then award them the Australian merchant service cross after the first 15 years Victoria. It is issued from your part of the world. After the first 14 years you’ve got it licked. I got 3 of them , there was no mention of behaviour though good job. Regards JS.

Two Passenger ships berthed before the Ruby Princess, both had the virus aboard, the passengers were allowed to scatter. the Ruby Princess was known to have three seriously ill passengers with the virus, plus some showing signs. A seventy year old woman who was taken off by ambulance men died shortly after landing. So any talk of the captain saying they had no virus aboard is rubbish, he informed the port authorities, that was why the ambulance was waiting. The most stupid NSW Health Minister we have ever had, and The most stupid Premier, allowed the Princess to disembark the passengers, the Premier said I had no choice but to let the ships berth as they flew the Australian flag!!! The flag on the stern of the ship was Panamanian. One woman flew via Singapore where she changed planes then flew to Britain, how many has she passed it on to? She is now self isolating somewhere in Britain as she has the virus , god knows where all the others are, our stupid State Govt is now trying to contact all of them, far to bloody late.

The gov, both Fed and State are passing the blame on to border control, who in turn say they were not told about it.

Something about passing the buck comes to mind!!!!!!!!!!!
