    Stand still nobody move. ! JWS. Bit of a problem if they all wanted to go to the toilet at the same time, before the days of sewage tanks as well imagine, just think of the pollution, or the overflow of the sewage system. JS

    No manner of queuing with such persons would ever work.

    They came, they sat, they ate simple.

    But tis looks like some form of troop carier.

    It is the QUEEN MARY
    she carried 18,000 troops on a voyage from US to UK
    Stayed on her many times in Long Beach and those photos are in her museum,.

    I know someone out here Brian who was a bellboy on her in 1948. He was a chief steward out here with ANL for a few years before retiring . Has not been too well for a few years due to old age. JWS

    Not sure which ship, Kong is possibly on the money , but it was US service men heading back to the States after the war.
