Good, let's hope the weather holds out and all who visit Liverpool have a good time. Sadly I planned to make it but plans have been changed.

What did the union do wrong here ? they were negotiating with the company and ACAS, there was always the possibility that the strike would be avoided which it was.It was the train companies that put out the stories that they would not be running the trains even if strike action was called off so are they not to blame.I wonder how many people went out and bought National Express tickets in view of what the rail companies said. But once again it's the union that take the blame some people just cannot look at a situation without an unbiased view.

Jim, Lets not forget when Rail track say a normal Bank Holiday service to resume, Buyer beware, There will be a hell of a lot of disruption through track and ballast work E T C ................. It should be renationalised another great service that was sold off British Rail, Been in decline the country over ever since it was privatised Terry.

Terry I wont be going anywhere near the place imagine trying to get a train at Central or Moorfields there will be thousands there.I will have a look at them from the beach here,I wonder what the situation is now as regards walking into the docks and going down to the west wall.

I wish I could join you for a pint in the P&W Mick but I wont be going into Liverpool myself I just cannot stand being in a crowd getting pushed from pillar to post and then trying to get a train home.

#44, 'What did the union do wrong here ?'...... You simply cannot be that naïve???
Answer: What the Unions always do, cause the maximum amount of chaos for every Tom, Dick & Harry ie you and me whenever there is an occasion to disrupt. If they honestly were for the people they would PLAN their strike for any old day of the week, not one on such auspicious occasion for the city of Liverpool who will benefit from all the visitors spending their well earned cash. To quote 'some people just cannot look at a situation without an unbiased view.' That remark works both ways
