Re: Three Queens Liverpool Visit.
Plenty of National Express bus's running.I notice nobody is criticizing Virgin Trains who have cancelled the trains well before it is decided if the strike is going ahead, what do you say to them Ivan about the poor disappointed children, not a lot I don't suppose just make some excuse up why Virgin had to cancel northwest line. You will still get a train in Kent and other places down South.Virgin want public opinion against the union and it looks like they have it on here, some folk don't even know what the strike is over.

As most people will have prebooked and 'paid' for their holidays by train not much consolation to hear 'plenty of National Express buses running' which incidentally will probably already be fully booked, if you've ever tried to book one at holiday periods. Also a four hour journey by rail with 2/3 or more kids in tow is no joy, reaching the same destination in 8/9 hours or more at bank holiday periods, by coach is no fun for anyone, especially as most coaches are not direct but involve a change en-route, especially to the south west, I know where my sympathies lie and it ain't with the bully boys and personally I don't care what the strike is about, rightly or wrongly, but it is designed to cause the maximum disruption to innocent parties and cause them unnecessary expense, which they can probably ill afford even if they can make alternative arrangements and I suspect many will not be able to. Anyway we'll agree to differ
Re: Three Queens Liverpool Visit.
I just hope that this strike gets called off today and Virgin don't run their trains on Monday, lets see who the union bashers blame then for seeing the sad little faces of children who can't go on holiday.

Re: Three Queens Liverpool Visit.
Lets get back to the main event, lets hope everyone who makes it to Liverpool or elsewhere on the Mersey, sees a wonderous sight of the three Queens enjoys and remembers it with fondess, as I know all the ex and current seamen will, unfortunately I will miss it, but hopefully it will be well covered by the media and Jim will continue to post extracts from the local paper who will no doubt be giving it a great coverage.
