    Similar situation in Singapore, many ships go there as costs kept low and the yards work 24/7 little wonder when they can compete on time an da t cost promised.

    In the sixties and seventies in the UK you could organise a strike in the UK at the drop off a hat.
    After the second World War the UK TUC set about organising the German Labour and setting up the German Unions.
    They (the TUC) set a modern industrial democracy that it was nigh near impossible fro the workers to strike, there were long periods of discussions to take place between employers and employees before strikes were even discussed.
    Striking in Germany was a last resort, not like the UK.
    The TUC refused to countenance such an arrangement for the UK.

    Queen victoria as you said she carried out many things in navy in her period..I studied a book about queen victoria's era .In that how she developed uk's navy and her contribute over warships in Uk navy..she was marvelous actually in my point of view..
