Here in Oz crusing is the biggest growth area as far as hollidays go. More companies are sending ships here, Carnival are sending Carnival Spirit this year for first time. Voyager of the Seas, Royal Caribbean wil be here in Melbourne Sunday for the start of our season. She will be the bigest ship to do a full season from here. Bit too big for me with about 3,000 bloods. Up to 2,200 is OK after that not so good. Bigger ones are often aimed at fimilies and can be a bit much for some. But the price is very good at less than $90 per day on some crusies.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

    Default bit of a suprise

i am not aware of any Cruise Ships that sail from the Philippines, am quite close to all those lovely islands, they sound fascinating, to be honest i still find it hard to believe i am here in the Philippines, never dreamt i would one day live in a Country where the Rising Sun Flag flew 67 years ago, often try to imagine what it was like then. its strange what fate has in store for you, a long way to travel to escape loneliness, but glad i did. will never master the Language, its Cebuano here,

    Hi John ,
That would be great, We leave the ship Statendam on Friday 1st of March and stay across the road in Holiday Inn until Wednesday 6th of March then fly home.
Do you live far from there ? .
    Good to see you again.
    Cheers
    Brian.

    Hi Brian

No not far, just about an hour down the coast. What I really like doing is taking the train, "The Pacific Surf Liner" which runs as its name implies right along the pacific. It beats the freeway traffic, and I can have a couple beers on the way down, so I will be primed by the time we meet. The train station is just a five min walk to the Hotel.
    Will keep in touch.

    Cheers
