And it goes on and on.
Crystal Cruises has thrown in the towel on a quick return to cruising. The Line has cancelled all remaining voyages for 2020 on its two ocean ships, four river ships and it's small yacht the Crystal Esprit.
The first available Crystal voyage for booking isn't until the 5th January 2021.

    Regards from,
    Fouro.

There must be some thought that things may turn around at some stage.

Today no less than six e-mails from various companies with all manner of offers including three sailings around Oz in December.

As he said in the movie 'The Castle' tell him he is dreaming.

I am surprised by the cruise review for 2023 on Crystal website. It seems to me that after the current situation such distant plans are already perceived by many as skeptical.

One of the issues is the difference in regulations across the globe.

Many countries are reliant on the cruise industry as part of their tourism income.
They may well be tempted to start allowing the ships in.

The authority that controls all shipping in and around USA have put a total ban on all until October at the very earliest.

Many companies are offering cruises from late 2020 onwards, but how many will sail will depend on which ports they will be allowed in.

An amusing incident on the Muncaster Castle on the round the world service when they had an engineer superintendent as a passenger. A fairly wild night and at breakfast next morning, one of the passengers remarked to old man, "guess you did not get much sleep last night" to which the Master replied," Shaw did, slept like a top". Turned out that engineer super had had all the passengers in the lounge with their lifejackets on all night.

The way this Covid is going around and around the cruise lines will be lucky there is enough people left to fill a ship.

looking at the breakers yard in aliaga - we now have a unique situation what with 3 carnival cruise ships - fantasy - inspiration and imagination - ( the latter having arrived 14 09 ) and the monarch and sovereign - all there for breaking up - i cannot recall - if ever there were that many cruise ships at the same time for breaking up and then again 3 from one cruise line and two others from another - that has to be a first

A fair few virtually sat in Weymouth Bay.

The Royal Caribbean ship Jewel of the Seas can now be seen with others such as Aurora, Britannia, Queen Victoria, Marella Explorer, Marella Discovery, and Queen Elizabeth.
