    Smile The World/Seabourn Pride

I visited Bordeaux this week on a club coach trip and moored on a river berth was The World which cruises the world as the name suggests but is special in the fact that you can purchase staterooms/apartments in perpetuity, mind you I believe the cost is very high and millionaire status is required....... Only spotted one passenger who was on a sunbed on one of the balconies. The ship had that block of flats look like most modern cruise liners. Behind her was moored a much nicer looking ship in the modern stlye and much smaller with loads of passengers on the decks, maybe she had just docked, this was the Seabourn Pride.
I also had trip round the old dock area where I used to sail into in the 1950s on GSNC ships, as you can appreciate all changed, no cargo working only yachts and the German built submarine pens still as solid as ever despite allied bombing during WW2.
    Rwal nostalgic trip.

The Captain of that ship The World has a wonderful title........
He can truly say "I AM THE MASTER OF THE WORLD".

I heard a while ago that some of the original Investers are not too pleased with other residents who rent out their apartments and then they had the union Jack shorts and lager lout type of person renting and lowering the tone of the place.

Have to agree with that one. She comes into Port Melbourne about every 18 months and sticks out like the proverbial dogs ba**s.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
