    Default Cruising Facts

To date I have always taken out travel insurance on my annual overseas trips paying a reasonable extra premium to cover "Pre-existing Medical conditions" . In july I'm departing on my first cruise and have applied for my usual cover, only to be knocked back for cover on" Pre- existing Medical conditions"plus an excess of
A$ 1000 on any claim and a fairly hefty increase in premium.. It would seem to me I would be equally covered under a free insurance cover offered by a spouses Gold Credit Card -which also excludes "Pre-Existing Medical conditions"
Would be interested to know whether any one has experience of relying on and claiming under travel insurance offered by Gold Credit Card? Teb.

Hi Tebb, we have the gold credit card insaurance and use it for evey trip we take. My wife has to visit U.K. on occasions and as she is a British subject still has the availability of the NHS. Couple of years back she had an incident with a car she had hired. Stone did the windscreen in about 100 meters from returning it. She was charged some rediculous rate for this and had to pay there and then. On return I put in a claim with my credit card supplier and got all back apart from thr first $100. But as the bill was for $1400 I was more than happy. So for me it works and speaking to my friend in the bank on most occasions the insurance company will pay.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
