Captain Maynard Greene RIP
Captain Maynard Greene, Lydiate, Liverpool, crossed the bar Saturday 15 July 2023 after a resurgence of an earlier illness.
Maynard spent his apprenticeship with Ulster Steamship Co (Headline) in Belfast and upon gaining second mates' went to T J Harrisons.
Following that he served on container ships, roro, bulk carriers and heavy lift vessels.
A Master mariner for 20 years, he completed his career in Dubai as a Marine Surveyor with Western Geophysical.
Maynard retired in 2013, and is survived by his wife Alison, son Andrew and sister Noleen. Funeral Friday 28 July 2023.
