Hello All,
Just noticed a few wanting to send cards to the house.. that's fine, however I don't want to post our address on here - anyone who knows our address is welcome to share via PM or send me a quick message, I'll keep my eye on the site today.
Hannah
Hi Hannah i do not know your grandad but rest assured as a good person he will be sailing many oceans in the sky god bless dave mahony
Hannah again..
Just a quick post.. I've had a few messages/emails with regards to flowers. Instead of flowers, Nan has requested a small donation if desired to be made to either The Marina Dalglish Appeal via Hannah Brady is fundraising for Marina Dalglish Appeal or Cancer Research UK via Hannah Brady is fundraising for Cancer Research UK - this is not me assuming, it's just because I've had a few messages asking so it's easier for me to just post on here than reply individually.
Thanks
Hannah
Hannah, flowers at a funeral are fine but only for the moment.
Donations such as you mention are for all time and can do so much good.
You sound like a very nice well adjusted lady, thank you for all the information you have given us regarding your grandfather, a great man.
R.I.P. Jim, On reading the posts today I was very saddend to read about Jim passing away. We met a couple of times at the Pen and Wig and we both enjoyed each others company. May I take this opportunity to offer my sincere condolences to his family at this time of their great sadness.
John.
Just got back from Jim's Church funeral service and Crematorium, We four Brenda, John P, K.K, And myself all stood as one amongst his family and friends, It was a very fitting send of indeed and I must say his oldest son Kevin gave a lovely speech on Jimmy's sea days and indeed his favourite pastime this forum, A small affair not on your life, Jimmy was very well respected amongst friends and people that he may never thought of. So pleased he got a great send off.
p.s. Brenda sorry for taking you on a mystery tour, :th_thth5952deef: We got there in the end nothing but gratitude for you for attending Regards all Terry.
Glad to hear that Jim's funeral was well attended and even Liverpool FC gave him a bonus he could enjoy whilst on passage
A Hospital Appointment this morning stopped me going which was upsetting. I am very pleased that Jim had a good send off and the site was represented by Terry, Brenda, JP and KK thank you all I am sure Jim would have appreciated it. May he rest in peace, I certainly will not forget him and our chats.
church was full crematorium packed and his last song he did it my way was fitting for Jim and what a sweet lady Brenda is he liked his pint he liked his life but I think most of all he liked the memories he shared with all on the site and what a sweet lady Brenda is driving the long distance for jims send of as you know I am not into religion but I must say a very moving day for me and the members? jp
