Lest We Forget
At times like this it is hard to find the words. On this site you become close to certain people without ever meeting them. Jim and I shared our political views and outlook of life , standing up for those less fortunate than us. I will miss him.
Well Jim lad, so you have taken your leave of us for the final time.
You will be sadly missed by many, your words, sense of humor, maritime knowledge and other things.
But most of all your friendship to so many, your forthright speaking, and your sense of fair play.
The Pen and Wig will miss you and all the good men you knew in there.
Safe sailing mate, may calm seas and a soft wind be with you until we all meet again one day in Fiddlers green.
Just had the email from Jimmy's niece Hannah,
I could kick myself for not following up the visit I made the day he was discharged from hospital. I have asked Hannah for the funeral arrangement's as I for one will be attending. Jimmy was a mans man and typical L,Pool Seaman, Our family's go back together generations, Jim's brother sailed in the Convoys with my uncle Bill same ship. There is a picture on here of me Jim and
Lew,fazer, McColl. Who has also emailed me, The 3 of us met up in L,Pool last summer for a few pints. They don't make them like Jimmy anymore, Heartfelt Sincere Condolences to his wife Barbara and all his family You have earned your rest Jim, R.I.P. Sailor Terry.
R.I.P. Jim.
My sincerest condolences to all his family.
My sincere condolences to Jim's family, such sad news to wake up to... I had the pleasure of meeting and having a few drinks with Jim in the Pen and Wig when I was home visiting family in Southport a few years back. We sure will miss him on site... RIP Jim..
