Received a message about the sad News of Alf Corbyn passing from Marian,and must say that although I knew the inevitable had to happen this really has devastated me ,as I was so very fond of Alf,after we met in Southampton a few Years back now!
We became very good mates even though we were far apart,but both knew that the Friendship was real!
My Sincere Condolences to his Wife and Family,may he now rest in Peace as I know just how much he was going through,even though he never let on to many,always a good smile and a happy attitude,another Special person like Lou ,Oh how I will miss him!

May the winds be calm and gentle Alf and may your sails take you to all those Exotic and exciting places you so loved in your Days mate!
You will (Like Lou) remain in my Heart forever take care dear Friend and have the rest you so well deserve.

This makes me so very sad. I thought the world of Alf, we joked about his computer dongle in many funny ways, we expressed and shared our views on many things and we enjoyed our memories of the sea. I shall remember Alf as a dear friend who unfortunately I never met face to face but was fortunate indeed to have his cyber friendship. So may I wish him calm seas, a peaceful voyage and a happy and comfortable berth in the port of his choice. RIP Alf, my friend, God Bless you.
