    Default Arthur Harris A true Gentleman

    Our good friend Arthur crossed the bar, Arthur was at sea before the war He was on the Convoys with Laurie 85 yrs old , then he was a boy 18 , Arthur looked after him he was older 24 with a few years of sea time, under his belt They were great friends' from they time together in the war , When Arthur got married, laurie was his best man, he lost his wife , a few years ago, but his two daughters looked after him,His job ashore was on the dry dock in Cardiff painting ship,s he was the "pimsole line painter" for many years untill he finish, I will list his ships after his funeral, He was two week short of his 90 birthday when he passed away , A True Gentleman.     My Sincere Condolences to all his Family and friends,its sad to hear of yet another passing on,and of late there has been quite a few!
    May the Waves and Winds take him to greater places,and may he be restfull forever!
    My thoughts are with ALL!

    as vernon has stated there are more lads crossing the bar lately. my condolances go out to thier families and freinds.regards. alf
