Our good friend Arthur crossed the bar, Arthur was at sea before the war He was on the Convoys with Laurie 85 yrs old , then he was a boy 18 , Arthur looked after him he was older 24 with a few years of sea time, under his belt They were great friends' from they time together in the war , When Arthur got married, laurie was his best man, he lost his wife , a few years ago, but his two daughters looked after him,His job ashore was on the dry dock in Cardiff painting ship,s he was the "pimsole line painter" for many years untill he finish, I will list his ships after his funeral, He was two week short of his 90 birthday when he passed away , A True Gentleman. God bless you mate, calm seas and safe passage.
