I dont really know what to say except how sorry I am. Lou was a great and loyal member of this site and a member of a breed of men and women who sailed under the Red Duster in the greatest years of the British Merchant Navy. His death is a very sad loss not only to his family but to all his mates who remain and who valued his friendship and character. Please convey my sorrow at his passing to his family and friends and although gone from our view I doubt very much that Lou Barron will ever be very far from our thoughts and memories. RIP my friend may calm seas and fair winds be your reward for a life well lived and for the love and pleasures you have given to all. Chris.
