John J Brady 1925-2014 RIP.
It is with sadness that I tell of the sad loss of my dear brother John.John Crossed The Bar last night at the good old age of 89.John seen action on both the Atlantic & Medi Convoys also doing five trips from Southend on the D.Day Landings. The sad part about that is,he decided only a few years ago that he would like his medal entitlement,to cut a long story short he hadn't received them upto his passing although he was still working on it,it would be ironic if any news comes for him in the next few days.
Regards.
Jim.B.

Re: John J Brady 1925-2014 RIP.
So sorry to hear of Johns passing. May I, on behalf of The Merchant Navy Association (Scarborough Branch) offer our condolences to yourself and Johns family at this very sad time. These convoy men were a special breed and we may never see the likes of them again. They were so very brave. I am sure that you must have been very proud to have had such a man as your brother.
Kindest regards
Yours aye
Russ McLean (Chairman MNA Scarborough)
