    Default Crossing the Bar:

    "Crossing the Bar"

    Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
    Turns again home.

    Twilight and evening bell,
    And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
    When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

Thanks Brian but he wasnt family of mine but I did regard him as such. He brightened my life with his wonderful letters to me, his humour for a man of his age was wonderful. It was a privilage to be classed as one of his friends.

    Default Young Jim,

Jenny, I too feel the same as You about Young Jim as he was known, really 81 years old, but young on his outlook on life, his favourite saying was 'Enjoy life as you only get one Chance and that is so True.
His banter gave us many happy moments. Like you Jenny, I felt very privileged to have him as a Friend.
Jim you can now sail those seas you loved so much, R.I.P. you will be really missed.
Much Love and God Bless You xxxxxx

It is sad to see any member of the family of the sea cross the bar. I know he and Doc had their differences, but that is life, he was at the end of the day still one of us.
My condolences to his family, may he forever now sail on calm waters.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
