That's quite a career, Robert, i was on Port Line - Lowlander 1947, Port Saint John 1949/50, Port Dunedin 1950. Aberdeen and Commonwealth Line (SS&A) Morton Bay 1948, SS&A - Raranga 1947, Gothic 1951,52,53.

Shipmates, excuse absence but have had a DOB (Date of Birth) issue. Three weeks into a pacemaker and the throb is nice and regular just like lying in my bunk above the engine room of the MV Port Saint John when I turn in.

Last night we had our first proper snowfall here in the Blue Mountains this winter. Hope you have the heating turned up, Vernon.

Every good wish to you all.

Thanks John, it has been a while and a few sojourns in Katoomba, Nepean and Westmead hospitals but we are so lucky to have our quality medical care readily available. This pacemaker is making a fantastic difference taking over from the ones I was born with. Amazing! The battery in the little computer under the skin on my chest is supposed to last for eight years and a friend's dad has had his running without a change for nearly twice that long. I even have been issued with a transmitter that sends the information from the pacemaker to my cardiologist!!
    All the best , mate.
