Welcome on board George. Believe you got in touch with me some time ago thinking I was my cousin Bill Sabourn who you knew from Singapore . Can’t remember if it was before he died or not , as he did so a few years ago. There is on the site at least one of his ex students from the Marine School in South Shields. Bill himself as you probably know got his seatime In with RFA. Anyhow welcome to the site and hope after dipping your toe into the water may put the whole foot in and meet up with others you may know. Doris Bills wife died in 2009 and Bill followed in 2010 both in Whitley Bay where their son daughter in law and grandchildren still live. This was after retiring from lecturing in Launceston Tasmania .Regards John Sabourn
PS just noticed the other likes to your post is that same person Tony Taylor , he’s almost a Geordie as well. Cheers JS .
