All USA sailings were as AB My goal was to sail until i was 78 to complete all work on my house — am still working on final landscaping projects and will paint entire house, in and out one more time after this summer heat.
Had i stayed at sea i would have paid others to do it and be all done by now. Then afford to go to sea as a passenger. Of course there are those who review my ships who will say that i was always a passenger !
Well, that is it …. Keith Adams aka:- “SNOWY”.

Re: My Ships and I.
First, thank you to each member who responded to my post. Really means a lot that there are kind and knowledgeable folk who appreciate one’s life’s work contribution — it all ended so quickly; it is as though it never happened !
Not sure if it counts as didn’t sail on them, but when I first joined Harrison line i watched over full discharge and reload of the Governor in Birkenhead 1960, and same with the Colonial (am i allowed to use that word nowadays ?) in Liverpool. Also, with Bibby Line, did an entire Southampton Dry Dock of the Devonshire in 1959. Funny how such important knowledge and extreme learning experience didn’t count toward ones certification, yet a generous portion of a Pre-Sea School time training attendance did. I always worked harder and learned more in port than at sea ! Ha,ha,
I am already anticipating the banter in response to that last sentence !
Cheers to one and all ! Keith Adams.

Re: Keith Adams
Unless you were born in a leap year then you age at a quarter of the time . JS
Keith looking back at some of the old posts , must have missed some or forgotten to reply. Your list of ships did you forget the names of any of them. I did for 3 at least.I can see the ships and all their idiocrasys but not their names , annoys me at times, as have no way of remembering as were paper discharges and have lost , or never had any in the first place as never gave myself one. One was a Russian so assume it was an unusual name . The other 2 were Yugoslav but do know they had common English names .Makes me wonder how I found myself back to them in port . Cheers JS..
