Re: Malcolm C Downing
As long as it’s not the thoughts of maos si Tung . Was presented with his little red book about 1972 in Shanghai. He was dead and his wife in prison. In English of course. Has not been seen for a number of years now so must have given to someone. JS

Re: Malcolm C Downing
Evening Mr Quartermaine/ Richard
I will have a look at the Australian shipping/ passenger records at the NSW State Library for you; I will be there next week. As an aside my grandfather sailed from Sydney to England on the SS Beltana after enlisting in 1915. As an aside I grew up in Lautoka, my father (John Temperley) was a shipping officer with CSR/ SPSM from 1955 - 1974 at the Lautoka mill wharf. I also remember fondly trips on the Sea Spray (Fitheach Ban) when I was home from school.
A question, when, where (shipyard) was the Fitheach Ban built please? Yours sincerely John
