Great list there Eugene. Hope we looked after you in Sydney. I'm an old Shaw Saville Port Line wallah. Enjoy the site and there should be some of your shipmates among the 18,000 plus cruising this network.
    Cheers, Richard

I can handle the 43 degrees if the humidity is down , the 100% humidity in Malaysia at that temperature wipes me out now

Katoomba was also 37c (99f) and we had the plain old punkers whirling flat out. Just a slight breeze at 6pm on the front verandah and a cold bottle of Bir Bintang (Indonesian pilsener beer sold at Liquorland here). Just 'Derby' and 'Joan' and the dog.

    Ah! Wilderness is paradise enow.
Richard.... only the first bit. The last bit was by someone else a bit older than me with a penchant for this sort of clime.

It's surprising how we can suffer at the whim of mother nature. You guys in Oz are sweating your brass monkey's off, while we here in Eastern Ontario and Quebec are freezing our's off... Your temps are 37c, while our thermometer reads anything from -20c to what we woke up to on new years day, -30c... with the wind chill, which cuts right through you, it goes down to -36 to -39c. A difference of over 100 degrees c. these temps have been like this since before Christmas, today started off -27c and going up to around -10c but snow is forecasted, supposedly up to 10 inches or so overnight and into tomorrow.
    regards, stan.
