For some reason I thought this site would email me if there was a reply, but clearly it doesn't so I've only just found it! I reckon I drank more during my 14 years at sea than the rest of my life put together. Still, I don't regret it as my liver seems to have survived intact!

mervyn barrow if it is the same guy married to a american girl debbie .....was a frequent visitor to shields a few years ago ....i believe his home is or was in housten texas ...but he is the proud owner of a large canal boat .....which he comes on the english canals in the summer......regards cappy
