    not to bad no over time only docking and leaving but what trip usa panama japan australia singapore suez tramp ship 5 months did not know next port 11knots top speed greatbunch of lads onboard

    baron belhaven was new ship i think second voyage when i sailed out of liverpool in the pacificc we ran out of fagg papers toothpaste spuds
    we rolled fags in toilet rolls paper but we made do happy days

    saw her somewhere ........but 50 odd years ago .......cant remember ......didn't no you even got spudson baron boats ..thought it was just grewel twice a day

    Not many would take a Baron boat normally only those with DR's.Story has it a guy in the pool was given a ship the guy in the pool said a nice ship for you here get down to the Alex dock and join the Barongedes.When he got to the Alex dock it was the Baron Gedes.!!!

    Mr Repp and Mr Griffiths at the Pool offered me the Barongides a few times over the years. They always tried to change the sound of the name to get fellas to fall for it.
    Another one he tried to get me on was the Brit, Thinking it was the Britannic, three weeks to New York and back
    It was the old Debret one of Lamports.
