I was a 2A/E round about that time. 1A/E was Jim Whitelaw and C/E was Jimmy Denzil.

I think we may of met when you were C/E on the Waverley, I was looking after two P&O Ferries in Tilbury, we met in the Worlds End pub.
I’ve heard the Name of Jim Whitelaw and Jimmy Denzal was C/E when I was on the SS Esso Pacific.
When we had an escort and visit from the RN , I went over to the HMS Charybdis ( Cherry B) , my claim to fame was having 3 pints of bitter in the officers mess, not much chance of getting draught bitter on the Pacific,
I took Jimmy Denzals camera and got some good pics.
