Possibly worth trying to make contact with Neighbourhood Watch Queensland.

Tanks, seamen have the habit of living in way off the beaten path. Even in the North sea have known one from Honolulu who was quite happy to do a double header each time across in the UK. A Scotsman who did the same as he lived in the Philipines. I once wanted to go and live in Newfoundland but the wife kicked up. Took me fourty odd years to get her out here. It was worth waiting for but only just. Another seaman in the North sea was from the Falklands and he fitted quite nicely into the like style in Lerwick at the time. They come in all shapes style and form and is an added attraction if they speak English. JS
