hello there
would like to know either from members or visitors who live in townsville ,queensland aus, my wifes brother who is elderly in there but my wife phoned him but phone dead i who do i conntact to find out if they put him in a home ,or not he lived in 25 cook st townsville, would like to find out if he is still there , i know its a long shot but i would like to find out ,

Tanks, seamen have the habit of living in way off the beaten path. Even in the North sea have known one from Honolulu who was quite happy to do a double header each time across in the UK. A Scotsman who did the same as he lived in the Philipines. I once wanted to go and live in Newfoundland but the wife kicked up. Took me fourty odd years to get her out here. It was worth waiting for but only just. Another seaman in the North sea was from the Falklands and he fitted quite nicely into the like style in Lerwick at the time. They come in all shapes style and form and is an added attraction if they speak English. JS
