Frank, just in case you need to find someone up there again I found my relies I didn't know I had by using this site

mackayhistory.org your web portal for Mackay History.

They seemed to have a good record for that part of Queensland and only charge $20 for a generous hour. Had to laugh thought all hours were 60 mins. Ended up they knew my relies and didn't charge me emailed me a list of people that I followed up and met late last year.
