Hi Gloria, I sailed with Blue Star Line and I met George Curry once, although I can't remember where or when. You might try the BSL website as there is quite a lot of info there: https://www.bluestarline.org/crewlists.html

'there was a george curry from shields injured in an accident ...chest injuries...then it caused cancer i believe in the 60s....a cousin of my wife through marriage...a big good looking blond geordie.....could have been a leckie at sea cappy

#43... Just seen this post Cappy. Too much time sitting pondering my navel. Re George Curry he wasnt the Leckie on the Pennyworth when they had a crankcase explosion and had to go into Newfoundland was he. I was having a trip off and all the engineers were damaged including the Leckie who I believe came from Shields , this would of been about 1964/65. JS
