I HAD A SIMILAR REUNION . In June 1945 I was aboard HMS Jaunty a T124T Rescue tug till the summer of 1946 when I transferred to the Assiduos a similar deep sea tug in Singapore.I said my goodbyes to the crew which included Harry Greenwood the Signalman from Glasgow. 1955 I emigrated to vancouver afteer years of Sea time. Imagine my surprise when in 1997 i got a phone call from Harry who it turned out had come to Canada in1957 moving across the country till finally settling down here in Vancouver. On a whim he was looking through the Phone book and saw my name. We had a great reunion and began remembering our crew mates.. We meet quite a lot now and always parade on Remembrance day.People marvel at the fact after 51 yrs a guy from Manchester and a guy from Glasgow together on a ship with just 30 crew met again. Both of us are now in our mid nineties and enjoying a brew in the local Legion
