Just to thank you for your web site and to let you know that I have made contact with Bert Aliffe who I sailed with on s.s."AVALON" when she was first launched, Bert was the Electrical Engineer and I was 4th Engineer.
Bert tells me he is now 82,which made me still a lad at the time studying for my 2nds Certificate.
