Bibby lads
Sad news this week
Anyone ever sail with C/Eng's Pete Russell or Steve Ford. Sadly both these Gents passed away. I sailed with both these guys as second eng's and later as C/Eng's really good guys and both certainly had a great sense of humour. These guys were not seniors they were both younger than me (74)
They did spend a lot of time on Chemical ships. I am looking over my shoulder these days as that is 4 C/Eng's I have heard that have crossed the bar with in 12months. Dave Tetlow,Dave Hooper, Pete Russell and now Steve Ford. RIP lads. Shipped out and having a beer in Fiddlers Green.
