    Your Majesty,

It is with the deepest sadness that The Merchant Navy Association has learned of the death of our Sovereign, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We take great comfort from the dedication and the commitment she gave to this, our Maritime Nation and to all peoples of her Commonwealth.

As Master of the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II understood, more than most, the importance of the roles of seafarers and the vessels they served in.

There are no words to adequately express our thoughts and feelings at the loss of a loved one. Your mother, our Queen, was dearly loved by all.

Please accept our condolences and know that our thoughts are with the whole of The Royal Family at this time.

I have the honour to be, Your Majesty, your humble and obedient servant.
    Yours aye,

Captain Malcolm Mathison MNM FEI MNI.

God Save The King.. As the accolades now go out for our present King , and not wanting to put to air private conversations I would just like to add my own accolades to the many millions of others. I now have the privilege of having had the good fortune to have spoken privately with our two last monarchs of the United Kingdom and although this was also during a time of mourning for a few thousands of family and friends of the deceased do not want to be perceived as making any further additives as what has already been said over the years . I would just like to say my observations of 32 years ago makes Our King Charles well fitting for his role as King and those who think otherwise have very little comprehension of the Royal Family. I wish him well alongside similar well wishers of millions , knowing well he is more than capable of performing the onerous duties of King and Emperor, and was well versed by his Mother the Queen Elizabeth 11, Long Live the King. John i can but only agree with you.....i have watched him grow from boy to man .....and can only say he has more than earned his spurs .....with his princes trust and many charitable . supports he has done unimaginable good for our people....i had the good fortune to sail with a RN officer who taught him to sail and... indeed gave myself sailing tuition out of troon... his comment in the true sense of the omerta regarding the royals was he was a good honest pupil and gave his all to learning.... i take great pleasure in stating ....GOD SAVE THE KING ....the tradition of our monarchy is envied by the world ...R683532

I took comfort from William reaching out to Harry and Meghan yesterday ; including them in the walkabout at Windsor Castle.
William echoed the true spirit and legacy of his Grannie. Forgiveness.
The Monarchy is safe with Charles and beyond.

Charles will continue along the same line as our most beloved Queen.
    To ouy
My thoughts go to him, under normal circumstances such a man would have time off work to grieve, but no he is straight in to it.

To our most beloved Queen, rest in Gods peace dear lady and thank you for all you have done for us so selfleslly over the years.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

May King Charles 111 follow in his dear Mothers footsteps, although a very difficult task, may he be guided by her past actions!
Our dear Mother Queen Elizabeth 11 has done a hard and fantastic job, and as said there will never be another like her!

So may the new King reign for many Years to come.
    God Bless the King!
