Just to let all that have replied with Wishes and such lovely comments about Richard that i have now again Spoken with Margaret, and on her Behalf may i say that she sends many grateful thanks to each and every one .
She is quite overwhelmed by all the responses and said she knows that Richard would have been so happy! She said he so love the site and the Comradeship he experienced and it was part of his daily routine, to a point until he started to go downhill some.
Although it has been a rough time for her, she is coping as well as can be expected, but still many things to settle and do.
So once again Many Many thanks from Margaret and also from me /
All the best to you ALL.
Regards
Richard had the wisdom of In a lot of cases of Solomon of whom I beleive he was a member of the happy band who followed such a wise monarch. I had recourse to discuss a person who I knew very well and he gave me information of about his time in Singapore. A very wise and courteous man and all the remarks were from the heart over his passing. JS
Just noticed Richards passing and can add no more to what has been posted. Always sad when a Ship Mate crosses the Bar.
When I first noticed Richard's postings after joining the site his surname always made me think of King Solomon's Mines (Allen Quatermain)
Bill
Yes indeed me as well Bill.
And just off Topic a wee bit, it was a great Read was it not!? By Sir H. Rider Haggard
Cheers
Only was spelt a wee bit different (Quartermain)
In real life though as others will realize he was closer to Solomon than most knew him. JS
