    Default Just some words.

Often some ask for words of comfort.

From an Irish loss / Memorial card.

    There is no night
    Without a dawning,
    No winter without a spring,
    And beyond death’s
    Dark horizon
    Our hearts once more
    Will sing –
    For those that leave us
    For a while
    Have only gone away
    Out of a restless
    Careworn world
    Into a “Brighter Day”

Lonely is the home without you
Life to us is not the same:
All the world would be like heaven,
If we could have you back again.

A light is from our household gone
A voice we loved is still,
A place is vacant in our home,
    That never can be filled.

May the God of Love and Mercy,
Care our loved one who is gone,
    And bless with consolation,
    Those left to carry on.

The happy hours we once enjoyed,
    How sweet their memory still,
    But Jesus just beckoned,
    And we had to give.

God gave us strength to bear it,
And courage to fight the blow,
What it has meant to love you,
    God alone will ever know.

    Quite appropriate for this weekend,

Yesterday was Anne`s Birthday when we had a phone call her Sister was suddenly and unexpectedly dying,
We cancelled all the "Happy Birthday" celebrations , and then she died at 8pm last evening.
So not a happy Birthday for Anne, very upset. and as she said , Every Birthday will be a reminder.

So sorry to hear your news, please accept my sincere condolences to Anne and of course you Brian. My father died on Valentines Day and we have never celebrated the day since, it just does not seem right. However it is a reminder, even if we do not need one, of our loved ones, which cannot be a bad thing.
