I for one cannot understand why a 'pop star' has been prominent leading news on the BBC and other news channels for two days now when there are more important events taking place around the world, or the hysteria being witnessed on the TV for this pop star. No I am not an old fuddy duddy as I still dance and rock n roll and like pop music. The world will continue to revolve

funny when they make their money they move? then when they die they become sons of the area they where born in Beatles were the same not one live in the area they became famous ? jp

but then john some of us had to move in the ist place ......ie myself .......but still haunt the place i was raised in ....and visit almost weekly .....except in the winter months......its bloody freezing up there......regards cappy

We should mention, Mr Ken Dodd. For me the best comedian that ever appeared on a stage. He was born in Thomas Lane Knotty Ash and still resides there.
