mother in law
beenof line for a couple of days ...got a call to the poppy home 4 am wed the 93 year old ma in law was losing her fight for life after 3 hard months of struggling for breath ...hard to see and awful for herself .....but a tough old lass ....pat had gone every day and sat 2or 3 or 4 hours with her and pat now getting tired driving there and back ......iwent but not every day.......i have seen many dead persons in my life in various accidents and drownings....but have not been wiyh a person as they passed away .....this old lady took me in when my other alternative was the seamans mission.a very kind person ........and of course i ended up marrying her daughter........the strain of struggling for her breath for thrre months and longer was showing and we talked to her as she slowly breathed slower and less deeply .....and she gently just went .......her face relaxed and all her demeanor changed to one of calm .....all her struggle gone ....it was the most lovely thing......it was just perfect peace ....the words death were is thy sting came to mind and i now feel so different about an outlook we must all face one day like most on this site we have seen many things ...this was so different .....so strong a happening........regards a cappy who has learned something very graceful and beutiful

Cappy
Condolences to you and your family.
We lost mother in law and sister in law both within two years of each other. One was 92 and the other 76 but both went peacefully, thankfully.
