If it had a crown pos Royal Navy but,
seems some form of naval insignia.
Will take a look. Fingers crossed.

Could be that naval ratings are not allowed to have a crown on their cap badges.

Maybe because Ratings Junior and Senior in the Royal Navy do not swear alligance to the Crown. Going back to Press Gang Days?

Not certain but, worth looking into further.

After much searching ,although i have not found the Badge, there have been a few like it but with Crowns , most all others without Crown are mostly Sweetheart Broaches, and looking at the Bar behind could well be one ?? Or could also be a made up one for love reasons ??
    But the search continues!
    Cheers
